Books with child protagonists

There are many famous and illustrious books written with children as their protagonists. Old school like Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens, hugely famous like Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling or still divisive like To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. There are many reasons for these books not only being popular but winning awards and causing such a divide between people. They often show a different view of the world than we're used to experiencing as adults and often directly contradict our own memories as children. What can't be disputed though is that much can be learnt through these often meticulously researched, a highly emotive books.

This is not anywhere near a complete list but I can say I've read all these books and thought they were all well worth reading for different reasons.
